Description
Bark of eucalypt tree showing tracks of larvae of the Scribbly Gum Moth (Ogmograptis scribula). These zigzag tracks follow the insect’s life cycle. Eggs are laid between layers of old and new bark. The larvae burrow into the new bark and the trails become revealed as the old bark falls away, Googong, Australia

Congratulations! Your fantastic art has been featured on the N IS FOR NEAR themed week, APRIL 5, 2021- APRIL 12, 2021, where the subjects had to be very "near:" You are invited to add your wonderful art in the Features Archive Discussion in the ABC GROUP.
