Description
Part of the Gundagai Rail Viaduct across the Murrumbidgee floodplain (Australia) is 819 m long consisting of 72 timber trusses, the longest timber truss structure ever built in Australia, and a steel bridge over the main channel of the river. It was constructed in 1903 when the railway line from Cootamundra to Gundagai was extended to Tumut. The service was discontinued in 1984. The viaduct became so dilapidated that it was in the process of being removed - perhaps by now it's already gone!

Thank you William, very glad you like it - I was really wishing I had a wider angle lens with me to capture some features in the foreground ...
