Thank you Joni - I guess there are quite a few species of cormorant - I'm absolutely no bird expert - I shoot first and then try to find out what the species is ...

Thank you Jane - we (that include myself) do like to interpret animal appearances in terms of human feelings and actions, though I hadn't got as far as thinking what their conversation was about - you may well be right!
