Praying towards the Dhamekh Stupa at Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh, India. Sarnath is one of Buddhism's four main holy sites as it's there that Gautama Buddha gave his first sermon. Sarnas became an important Buddhist centre with many stupas and monasteries built in the 3rd to the 6th centuries. However, Sarnath was sacked in the 12th century and the site subsequently plundered for building materials. Although only ruins are now left, the site still draws many devout pilgrims.

I photograph landscapes and people and mostly anything, even a bird if it happen to cross my path ... just as long as it is in front of the lens and I like how it looks - I hope these images appeal to you too. My images are from my home country, Australia, and from New Zealand which is just across the ditch, and also from Asia. On my website http://photography.padarin.net/ are links to other sites with my images. Some time ago I completed an interview in Pamela Williams' ART DISTRICT Magazine (http://www.pamelawilliamsphotography.com/blog/2017/6/the-art-district-magazine---vol-9-artist-spotlight-with-werner-padarin) which some of you might want to read if you want to learn more about me.

Lovely Werner! Normally I don't like people in these kind of photos, but here I do because they illuminate the scale so I believe that enhances the photograph.
Werner Padarin replied:
Thank you Judy, glad you like the shot - I was actually trying to frame the shot around this lady as I think she gives meaning to the scene ...
William Tasker
Kind of a sad story, but still enough left to marvel and be impressed. Great shot! L/F
Werner Padarin replied:
