Hello Werner: This is our first visit to your art. Before typing this comment we broke away to view your home page images and are very impressed. Neither one of us have ever been to your part of the world but have always wanted to go. Not sure why you named this image "So Sad" except maybe for the sad look in the seals eyes. Hopefully, it wasn't for another reason. Now to the image. AMAZING !! Love the capture, details, clarity, the close-up of the face (eyes) and with the seal on the rock it just WOWS !!!! WE are more than happy to L/F this image plus we are now "following" you with pleasure. Bill & Deb Hayes

Werner Padarin replied:

Hi Bill and Deb - I can't remember how I felt that day, but it wasn't sad and I've got no idea whether the seal felt or is capable of feeling sad, however, I had to come up with a title for the shot and we do tend to anthropomorphise. The location was a dream for me as there were so many seals there in various positions, one just had to be careful not to get too close as they have large teeth and, it is said, can chase one - I remember taking a couple of steps to get a better angle on one of these and nearly stepping on another half concealed in some grass, so the only limitation on time spent and quality of shots was the patience of other not-so-keen-photographer members of our party. Thank you for your very kind comments and following of my work - I hope you won't get disappointed (and also that you might get the chance to travel to this part of the globe)!
