A portion (south-eastern aspect) of Uluṟu, a sandstone formation rising 348 m above the surrounding plain in Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park in Central Australia as seen near dusk. Uluṟu is sacred to the Pitjantjatjara Aṉangu people.

I love how it almost looks fluid. I also like the green to contrast the red. Wonderful shot! L/F

This shot was taken just before dusk in the shadow side of Uluru - I liked the colour contrast when I took the shot, but it was rather dull and I wasn't confident that it would be a keeper - however, this "fluid" effect that you point out did persuade me - very glad you like it William, thank you!
