Vivonne Bay Conservation Park, Australia
The jetty used to be much longer, but the central section was blown up to forestall any Japanese invasion in WW2, and the seaward end of the jetty was removed much later.

Im really a tonal realist portrait artist - painter (oils)..... looking at this image Im thinking what a curious combination of cool and warm blue hues.... awesome shot Werner... love a pic which makes you stop and think about it ...... you did the job :)

I was born and bred on KI, but I didn’t know the history of the jetty. I have fond memories as a child spending the day at Vivonne.

Hi Louise - that potted history is what I heard from a local, hopefully correct - the clearest water I have seen anywhere - you were lucky to have grown up there.
