Artist's Description
These intricately carved inscriptions are in bansd around the Qutub Minar, a 5 storey 73 metre high tower on the outskirts of Delhi, India. The tower was built beginning in about 1192 and completed in 1220. The bottom three and the top storeys are of red sandstone and the incriptions are in Parso-Arabic and Nagari characters - there are Quaranic texts as well as texts revealing the history of the tower's construction (ref: Wikipedia). The tower sits amongst ancient ruins in a complex designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (ref 233).

About Werner Padarin
I photograph landscapes and people and mostly anything, even a bird if it happen to cross my path ... just as long as it is in front of the lens and I like how it looks - I hope these images appeal to you too. My images are from my home country, Australia, and from New Zealand which is just across the ditch, and also from Asia. On my website http://photography.padarin.net/ are links to other sites with my images, one being fotoWerner.redbubble.com. Some time ago I completed an interview in Pamela Williams' ART DISTRICT Magazine (http://www.pamelawilliamsphotography.com/blog/2017/6/the-art-district-magazine---vol-9-artist-spotlight-with-werner-padarin) which some of you might want to read if you want to learn more about me.
