Description
Taj Mahal seen at sunset from Mehtab Bagh across the Yamuna River, Agra, India. Black kites soar over and around the Taj and its environs. The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal and commissioned in 1632. The Taj Mahal was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1983 Ref: 252.
