Description
In the langar or dining hall associated with the Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, Delhi, India. It is said that 6,000 people are "nourished" (they do not use the word "fed") here each day. People eat in shifts - here we see the current shift, all are welcome and all are equal - sitting in neat rows as volunteers walk amongst them to top up their food - the nearest volunteer is handing out roti (flat bread) from his basin while behind him another volunteer ladles lentil soup from his bucket.

Yes, a very interesting image. I find the woman in the red looking down or straight ahead I find very compelling.

I found all the langar activities very interesting - not least the fact that everyone at all is welcome to come and have a meal, the only requirements are the ability to sit crosslegged on the floor and to wear a head covering ... thanks Marie.
