Taj Mahal in Agra, India is emperor Shah Jahan's creation of love and grief to house the remains of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and where his own sarcophagus was later placed. The Taj is here seen enveloped in fog at sunrise. The Taj Mahal was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1983 Ref: 252.

Very kind of you William, thank you - when I arrived there at the time of sunrise neither the Taj nor the even the sun were anywhere to be seen - just deep fog - so this shot was after having waited awhile for the fog to lift!
